The depth/soundstage was completely muddy on the Playstation SCPH-9001, but slightly improved on the M-Audio Audiophile sound card. I purchased this player from him and did not realize an active preamp was needed to get best results. However, with the Arcam CD192 and the Playstation SCPH-1001, the soundstage was far fuller with an amazing level of depth.
